The Laboratory of Intimate Models explores metaphor as a possibility of transforming a painful experience.

In a process of research and creation, a group of people work together with tools of the arts, and based on a lived experience, to create a multimedia object aimed at creating links between personal and social history.

Pablo Gershanik’s keynote address is part of his virtual residency at Concordia University, presenting his artistic work on intimate models, object theatre, memory and resilience. It will be translated live into Spanish by the Acts of Listening Lab. This residency is made possible by the Faculty of Arts & Science, the Faculty of Fine Arts, and the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture.

Pablo Gershanik talks about his experience of working for three months at the Conti with his project “80 Bullets on the Wing”. His proposal was one of those selected in the open call for “This is not a sample”, where eight projects were selected by a jury from more than sixty works to carry out an experience in Room 1 of the Cultural Center for three months. On Saturday, February 4, the Room opens to exhibit the projects until February 26 under the name “Experience ’17 – The premonition”.
