The Intimate Maquettes Lab explores resilience in art. Drawing on the political events that affected Argentine society during the 1970s, and on the forms of reconstruction made possible by combining art with psychology and human rights, the process of “maquette-making” emerges as a tool of transposition—the creation of aesthetic mechanisms that mediate a painful experience—for working with cases of social trauma suffered in recent years by an individual, a family, or a community, such as war, attacks, social struggles, migration, and others. Through artistic approaches, it seeks to contribute to our peoples’ capacity to work through trauma and build resilience.
