Pablo Gershanik
Pablo is an actor, director and theatre pedagogue from Argentina-Mexico.
He trained at the Núcleo de Estudios Teatrales in Mexico City, Mexico and specialised in physical theatre at l’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France.
His work as an actor-clown has led him to perform with companies such as Cirque Eloize from Canada (where he starred in the show ‘Nomade’ under the direction of Daniele Finzi Pasca), Compagnie Philippe Genty (France) with the show ‘Voyageurs Immobiles’, and Compagnia Finzi Pasca (Switzerland) with the shows Maldita Canalla la Soledad and 52.
He has directed more than 15 shows in Argentina, Mexico, Ecuador and France. Among others: Triste Golondrina Macho, American Mouse, Canterville, gabinete de curiosidades and Hemos Arado en el Mar). He co-directed Proyecto Fibonacci (in collaboration with Samuel Tétreault of the Canadian company Les Sept Doigts de la Main).
Pablo has taught in different universities such as :
UNA (Universidad Nacional de las Artes), Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE) and Universidad Nacional de San Martin (UNSAM), Argentina.
University of Paris, Nice and Toulon, Jean Jeaurès (Toulouse) in France; Exeter (England); UNAM and Instituto de Estudios Críticos (Mexico) and Concordia (Canada).
His project Eighty Bullets to the Wing (in collaboration with Julián Teubal) has been awarded and supported by the Centquatre and the Cité Internationale des Arts of Paris through the French Institute of France and Argentina.
He is the creator of the Intimate Model’s Lab.
In recent years Pablo has been directing laboratories for museums, theatre companies, art centres, festivals and victims’ associations in France, Argentina, Mexico, the United States, Switzerland, Belgium, England and Canada.
